How an item is tagged varies from sale to sale.  We try to be consistent among other local sales so that you may switch to our sale without the hassle of redoing your tags. 

Below are the instructions for tagging your items for our sale.

Tagging Your Item:

• Use one-half of a 3x5 white index card as your tag.  Write your consignor number, size, description and price on the tag as noted in the attached example.  (Do not use ripped paper smaller than 3”x5”.) 
• Use a safety pin to secure the tag to the upper right side of the garment.  The hanger must face left as shown below.  DO NOT USE STRAIGHT PINS TO TAG YOUR CLOTHING. 
• The entire tag must be viewable (i.e. not under the collar).
• Please write your consignor number in the top left hand corner of your tag.
• Please write your item's size centered both vertically and horizontally on the tag as indicated.
• Please do not tag clothes as “Small”, “Medium” or “Large”.  All clothes must be tagged with a specific numerical size – such as 2T, 4 or 8.  If we do not know what size to group your merchandise with, we will return it to you.  If the manufacturer has tagged the item using “Small”, “Medium” or “Large”, please estimate what the numerical size is most appropriate.
• Please describe your item below your size (i.e. color, any print, functionality of item, etc.)  This is extremely important because tags can and do fall off.  We make every effort to match items back up with tags but if you simply put a pink shirt with no detailed information, you might make it virtually impossible to match.
• Please label the brand of your item next. 
• You set your own prices.  Consignors typically sell items at 1/3 of the purchased price.  All items must be priced and tagged prior to delivery.  If you are unsure as to what to price your item, please refer to ebay.  It is very easy to emotionally value an item.  But aware that if you overprice your item, it may not sell.
• No items priced under $.50 will be accepted into the FACP Consignment Sale.  These items will be returned to the consignor.  Please price your items in $.50 increments.
• If a customer would like to buy an item that does not have a price listed on the tag, the Consignment Sale Coordinator will assign a reasonable price for the item and it can be sold at that price.  Likewise, if a customer would like to purchase an item that has no consignor number on the tag, we will sell the item and donate the proceeds 100% to FACP.  Please double check that you give your consignor number and a price to all of your items.
  

• If you would like to donate your unsold items, please write a “C” clearly in red ink on the bottom right hand corner of your tag.  This will indicate to our volunteers that your item goes to charity after the sale is closed.
• If you do not want to have your item included in the half-price sale, please clip the top right hand corner.  All items not clipped in the top right hand corner will be sold at 50% off on Half-Price Day.  If you are using items that were previously on sale at another consignment sale, please make sure that you understand what the clipped corner means at FACP, as another organization may use the clipped corner for another purpose.
• If total sales are under $10.00, 100% will go to FACP.  No payment will be made to the consignor.
